Bel is a co-founder of Tobias and our human resources, creative and strategic leader.

As a child in New Zealand, Bel had a natural inclination towards experimenting and building – a skill that has been a theme throughout her career and strategic practice.

Bel started her career with a hands-on degree in fine arts where she experimented with painting, sculpture, design, printmaking and other forms of practical creation. Her resolve to find her voice as a female artist led her to work with alternative art collectives which aimed to make art not just an elite reserve but something meaningful and visible to everyone.

Having long since transitioned into the digital and tech arena, Bel brings her artistic perspective into leadership and into the user experience. She understands the importance of creative confidence, of being willing to fail and learn, and why it’s critical to pursue impact. And she continues to instil these values in the Tobias team; everyone loves a ‘chicken’ with Bel! (that’s ‘check-in’ with a Kiwi accent).
