To finance that lifestyle Jason worked in “haphazard” blue collar jobs (from the abattoir to a South Auckland warehouse) during this time gave Jason the ability to relate to people from all walks of life, which has also been instrumental in his leadership roles that followed.

Jason transitioned from competitive sports into the world of web development before the term UX was coined. Jason brings his confident professionalism from his early days, as well as his humility and warmth into leading award-winning teams at Tobias. With over two decades of experience in digital research, design, and delivery, Jason has led multidisciplinary teams in sectors ranging from government and finance to tech, developing a deep understanding of stakeholder management and the unique challenges faced by both large and small organisations. Jason particularly excels in managing large design and build projects, where his blend of technical and design expertise shines. His specialty lies in overseeing the transition from design to technical build, ensuring user insights are fully integrated into the build phase to meet user needs effectively.

Outside of work, Jason is often found in open fields playing golf.
