Adaptive 

Jo grew up in a family with four brothers and a sister, which gave her an early insight into gender roles and perspectives. Later, as one of the few women in a room full of 200 male programmers at university, she honed her ability to adapt to different environments and developed a keen awareness of the challenges women face in tech. Her perspective expanded further through teaching in Tanzania, where she encountered a completely different way of life, and by living in Sweden. Jo’s career has spanned large organisations, where collaboration and adaptability were crucial, as well as self-employment, which sharpened her decision-making skills.

Jo’s passion for curiosity and learning has led her to work across a diverse range of sectors, from health and agriculture to job management, each experience broadening her expertise. Now a Senior Full Stack Developer at Tobias, Jo brings over 20 years of experience in crafting responsive, user-centric applications.

When not coding, Jo can be found playing soccer, gardening, reading or playing with her dog Rio.
